When you tune a guitar, try tuning up to the note. If you go too high (sharp), drop below the note and try again. This seems to hold the guitar in tune longer. Here is standard guitar tuning, with the Hertz labelled (rounded to the nearest Hertz) for each string’s pitch: 1 e (thinnest string): 330 2 b: 247 3 g: 196 4 D: 147 5 A: 110 6 E (thickest string): 82
