Here is the C Major Scale Guitar Lesson: Remember These 3 Things! Learn these 3 things when building any major scale: 1. Start and end on the tonic note (so choose your starting C). 2. Use the correct pattern of whole and half steps: WWHWWWH. (Remember: 2 frets equals a whole step, 1 fret equals a half step.) 3. Do not skip or repeat a letter name when writing/saying them: CDEFGABC

Once you have done these 3 things, use the fingers that will allow you to move to the next note smoothly.
